Kevin Nicholas
I was born in Dayton, Ohio, home of flight pioneers Orville and Wilber Wright, singer Tommy James, the National Museum of the United States Air Force, the University of Dayton Flyers, and the RTA... the longest running electric trolley service in the United States (since 1888).
I grew up in the Dayton area, played baseball and ran track and cross country as a Springboro High School Panther. I attended Andrews University (Berrien Springs, MI) where I worked at my first 2 radio stations WAUS and WDOW. After several occasions of not being able to even SEE my car in a “lake-effect snow filled parking lot”, in 1977 I moved to Morgantown to finish college as a Mountaineer at West Virginia University.
Here, I worked at both WAJR AM/FM and WCLG AM/FM in college before ending up back here again at WAJR/WVAQ/WKKW. From January of 1981 thru 1996 I did mornings on WVAQ... and since then I’ve been an Account Executive here for the same stations. With the purchase of WFGM in 2008... I’m back on the air in a limited way on the weekends. I’ve now worked continuously for almost 29 years in the same company...a real rarity in the radio business. I also love the music WFGM plays...which works out well!
